Student Accessibility Dining Accommodations

The ÄÐÈ˲ؾ«¸ó contracts with ÄÐÈ˲ؾ«¸ó Dining Services to provide on-campus dining services for students. The ‘Allergies Avast!’ station in the Crow’s Nest campus restaurant offers special dietary options available to all students. This station features items made without the top nine allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish, shellfish, milk, wheat, sesame, and soy) as well as gluten.

Dietary accommodations are reasonable modifications or necessary forms of assistance that give students who self-identify as having special dietary or mobility needs, which may impact their ability to equally access proper nutrition through campus dining services.

Start The Process

Any student seeking a dining accommodation should start the request process by emailing the ÄÐÈ˲ؾ«¸ó’s Registered Dietitian.

On-Campus Dietitian

Teresa Neff, RD, LRD

Registered Dietitian

I am a licensed registered dietitian in North Dakota and have been the nutrition manager for Dining Services since 2018. Prior to working at the ÄÐÈ˲ؾ«¸ó, I spent two years working in a clinical setting caring for those with special medical needs. I am also a lifestyle coach for the National Diabetes Prevention Program. In my spare time, I can usually be found knitting, sewing, or spending time with my family and friends.

Applications for dietary accommodations should be made as soon as the student decides to attend the ÄÐÈ˲ؾ«¸ó (at least 30 days prior to the start of the academic year) or upon diagnosis. The ÄÐÈ˲ؾ«¸ó engages in an interactive process to review all requests for dining accommodations on a case-by-case basis. Accommodations may not be applied retroactively.

Should any issues arise, the student must communicate with Dining Services to develop a resolution. If a resolution cannot be reached, the student will contact Student Accessibility Services and/or follow the Accessibility Complaint Process.
