Rise to the Occasion

Hosted by the ��˲ؾ��, Rising Leadership North Dakota is an immersive summer enrichment program designed to equip driven high school students like you for lifelong success. You’ll learn from expert mentors, explore your career interests, and gain hands-on experience as you enjoy a preview of college life on our welcoming campus. The RLND Experience

During your four days on campus, you’ll have access to:

One-of-a-kind learning activities coordinated by our partner, Sanford Health.
First-person simulation experiences in the areas of business and health care.
Exclusive skill-building workshops led by established community leaders.
Focused interaction with faculty representatives from the Gary Tharaldson School of Business and the Saint Gianna School of Health Sciences.
Formative networking opportunities with local innovators and like-minded peers from across the state of North Dakota.

Where do the students stay?

Students will stay in our residence halls on the ��˲ؾ�� campus. Chaperones and residence hall directors will be present during their stay.

How are meals managed?

Meals are provided by the ��˲ؾ��. Students will be appointed meal vouchers and eat in our on campus restaurant, The Crow’s Nest. In some instances, select partners may provide meals while off-site. In those instances, any food allergies will be communicated prior to arrival at the site.

What if my kid has allergies?

Within the registration form is a designated area to denote any allergies or medical considerations. Also, upon registration, a secondary form will be sent with further instructions and the opportunity to specify any allergies. The Crow’s Nest has an allergy-friendly station, “Allergies Avast!”. The Allergies Avast! station caters to particular dietary needs (intolerances, allergies, aversions, etc.).

What should students bring?

A reminder email with a full list of items will be sent out prior to the event itself. Items to plan for are a pillow and bedding/sleeping bag, towel, toiletries, clothing for a range of North Dakota summer weather, and good walking shoes.
